The Battle of Lexington, which is Baruch College’s marquee athletic event, returns for the seventh straight year on Thursday evening, February 9. The Bearcats will host the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in an exciting CUNYAC basketball doubleheader with the women’s game at 5:30 pm, followed by the men’s game at 7:30 pm.

Flushing, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference along with Applebee’s has named the 2012 Men’s Swimming and Diving All-Stars, and the College of Staten Island’s Vladislav Romanov and Timur Rakhimov have been named the Athlete and Rookie of the Year, respectively. Coach Charles Lampasso from Baruch is tabbed as Coach of the Year while Lehman’s Chris Polanco receives the Sportsmanship Award.

Flushing, N.Y. – The City University of New York Athletic Conference and Applebee’s have announced the 2012 Women’s Swimming and Diving All-Stars as well as Julia Sung from Baruch as the Athlete of the Year and Hunter’s Chryzl Goco as the Rookie of the Year. John Jay’s head coach Jessica Kolachovsky was selected as Coach of the Year while her athlete, Billie Jean Kuppler was awarded the Sportsmanship Award.

For the second consecutive week Paul DeDewo is named the top indoor track and field athlete of the week after his efforts in the Dickinson DuCharme Invitational this past weekend (Feb. 4)...Albert Huggins is once again named the top rookie of the week following his performance at the Dickinson DuCharme Invitational over the weekend.
