Freshman / St. Lucia

A first-year cross country runner, after excelling in volleyball last year for the Wave, ZENIA GEORGE ran an impressive 27:14 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Brooklyn College Invitational to take third (among 82 runners). It was a personal best performance for the native of St. Lucia, as her team prepares for the 2010 CUNYAC Championship on Halloween (October 31) also at VCP.

Freshman / Staten Island, NY

CEMIL TURAN continues to dominate on the pitch for the Wave, scoring 7 goals in an 8-0 victory over Rockland CC. In four games last week, the Staten Island resident scored a total of nine goals and dished out one assist. He scored his other two tallies in a 6-0 win over Dutchess. Nationally, he leads NJCAA Division III in goals per game at and stands third with 23 total goals with only 9 games played.
