Hostos freshman guard Myra Molina, earns the Community College earns her first Female Athlete of the Week Award of this season, as she led the Caimans to a 2-0 week on the hardwood. In a blowout victory over Rockland CC (78-54) The St. Vincent Ferrer HS graduate had an outstanding effort, with 33 points, eight rebounds eight steals and six assists. She also scored 15 points in a conference win over Kingsborough.

Daquan Seymours was named the Community College Male Athlete in back-to-back weeks. Bronx went 1-1 for the week, there was a big upset against Nassau CC, ranked tenth in the NJCAA, 90-87 and they lost to Technical Career Institute. Seymour had 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and one steal in the win, against Nassau CC. Against T.C.I., Seymour, he had 22 points, 6 rebounds, two steals, and one block for the game. For the week, the Bronx resident averaged 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and two assists. The 6’3 sophomore has led the Broncos (7-16) to a 4-2 CUNYAC mark with only games against BMCC (6-1, on February 9) and Kingsborough (5-2, on February 4) left on the conference slate.
