Basketball Championship Games

on CUNY-TV (Channel 75 in NYC)

SUNDAY, MARCH 14, 2010

FLUSHING, NY -- For the third consecutive year, our broadcast partners have teamed up for a successful "CUNY Basketball Game of the Week," culminating with the airing of the 2010 Men's & Women's Basketball Championship games. Time Warner Cable taped the two games from the City College of New York on Saturday, February 27th and now the games are ready for air on the home of the City University, CUNY-TV, which is broadcast on Channel 75 on all major cable providers within New York City. The 45th Annual Men's Championship game between #1 seed York College and the #2 seed Brooklyn College will be shown on Sunday March 14 at 1:00 pm. The men's tilt will be followed immediately by the 34th Annual Women's title game between #1 seed Baruch College versus the #2 seed Hunter College at 2:50 pm, to avoid a break in the action The women's game will end by 4:45 pm.

"We are pleased to conclude another great effort this season with the Game of the Week," said CUNYAC Executive Director Zak Ivkovic. "Our broadcast partners give CUNY Athletics the on-air outlet that our student-athletes deserve in New York City. We will be on the air again in a few weeks with the Men's Volleyball Championships from Hunter, followed by events in the spring. Needless to say, we're excited for the remainder of the academic year and our future broadcasts."
