CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

CHRISTINE LUEBCKE, Hunter

The CUNY Athletic Conference has announced that Christine Luebcke has been named the CUNYAC / Con Edison Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the second straight time. Luebcke picked right up where she left off last week, helping the Hawks win all nine-of-nine sets. She recorded double-digit kills in all three non-conference match victories, averaging 3.78 kills/set. Against New Jersey City University she recorded 12 kills on .346 hitting and against Delaware Valley College she recorded 10 kills on .429 hitting.

CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week

JESSICA WU, Baruch

Outside Hitter/Freshmen/Cerritos, CA/Cerritos

Baruch freshman Jessica Wu notched her third consecutive CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honor for the Week ending October 16. Wu began the week by notching 11 kills with a .333 hitting percentage in a 3-0 road sweep of NYU-Poly on October 11. She played an even better match in a 3-0 home sweep against Montclair State on October 15 with a double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs. In that match, she hit a torrid .429 hitting to lead her team to their sixth consecutive victory.
