CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

CHRISTINE LUEBCKE, Hunter
Outside Hitter/Senior/Jackson Heights, NY/Benjamin Cardozo

Christine Luebcke has been named the CUNYAC / Con Edison Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the third consecutive week.

Luebecke helped guide the Hawks to a pair of wins over the College of Saint Elizabeth and Montclair State volleyball teams at MSU's tri-match this past Saturday. She registered 26 kills in two matches, averaging 3.71 kills/set, including 15 against Montclair State. The senior also added two assists and three services aces.

Luebecke and the Hawks return to the court this Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 when they host the Hunter College Invitational Volleyball Tournament.

CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week

JESSICA WU, Baruch
Outside Hitter/Freshman/Cerritos, CA/Cerritos

Jessica Wu earned her fourth consecutive CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honor.

Wu began the week by notching seven kills with a solid.778 hitting percentage to help record a 3-0 CUNYAC home sweep over Medgar Evers on October 18. She followed that up two days later with five kills to help leading the visiting Bearcats to a 3-0 non-conference road sweep over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in King’s Point, New York. The Bearcats are on a current eight-match win streak.
