CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Athlete of the Week

John Cuprill is named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Athlete of the week following Kingsborough’s 3-0 week.  Against conference opponent Queensborough Community College (Dec. 6) the freshman shot 2-for-6 on the field totaling four points with five rebounds in the 99-74 conference win.  Cuprill stepped it up in the following game against Ulster (Dec. 8) with a double-double performance shooting 10-for-17, netting 24 points in total with 11 rebounds to get the 103-80 victory. The Brooklyn native also finished off the week with another double-double performance with 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting and 11 rebounds.

 

CUNYAC /Con Edison Women’s Athlete of the Week

Sophomore/Guard/Brooklyn, NY/ Fort Hamilton

The CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Athlete of the week award goes to Samantha Mansour following her 28 point contribution to Kingsborough’s 132-33 win against conference opponent Bronx Community College (Dec. 7). Earlier in the week the sophomore scored six points with a rebound and an assist in a losing effort to ASA, December 5. In the conference game of the week the Brooklyn native shot 12-for-15 on the field, netted one of her three, field goals from behind the arc and registered nine steals, eight assists and five rebounds.
