CUNYAC/EmblemHealth Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
LAUREN HAYDEN, Baruch
Middle Blocker/Junior/Parker, Colorado/Chaparral 
Junior Lauren Hayden captures the first Player of the Week honor after leading the Bearcats to a 2-2 record at the North Country Classic that was jointly hosted this past weekend by St. Lawrence and Clarkson Universities in upstate New York.
Hayden, a 2010 CUNYAC Second Team All-Star, led the Bearcats to victories over St. Lawrence and Division II St. Michael’s by averaging 2.23 kills and 0.85 blocks per set. Against St. Michael’s, she notched 7 kills and three blocks, while adding 10 kills and four blocks against St. Lawrence. For the entire weekend, the native of Colorado compiled 29 kills, 10 digs and 11 total blocks.

CUNYAC/EmblemHealth Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
JESSICA WU, Baruch
Right Side-Outside Hitter/Freshman/Cerritos, CA/Cerritos 
Freshman Jessica Wu earns the first CUNYAC/EmblemHealth Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week honors to begin the 2011 season. Wu began her intercollegiate career on a positive note by earning All-Tournament Honors at the North Country Classic this past weekend in upstate New York. The California native recorded 13 kills and eight digs against St. Michael, and then followed up with 10 kills and nine digs in the win against St. Lawrence on their home court. Wu also added six kills against R.I.T. Overall, she totaled 30 kills (2.31 k/s) and 23 digs in her first weekend of action.
