One current player and three alums of the men’s basketball program have partnered together in entrepreneurial style to create and market a basketball training app called “OneBasketball”.
This special app gives players of all skill levels the basketball drills, basketball workouts, teaching and tracking ability to make every trip to the gym one that consistently enhances your skills to keep you on top of your game.
Mickey Abbatiello ‘12, a current senior at Baruch, along with assistant coach Mike Dietz ‘10, former player Tammer Farid ’11, and former team manager Joseph Cafarelli ’11, have all spent the past year diligently creating, filming, writing and setting up the app that
currently sells for $4.99 at the Apple App Store.
“I am very happy to be working with three Baruch alums, who are also my great friends, on this business venture. The app enables the average basketball player to improve their skills in a revolutionary way and follow their progress digitally through our Shot-Tracker system. We have created the program so that anybody can benefit from it. I am happy to apply all the knowledge and skills I have learned from Baruch College into this special basketball app.”
The App features…
** 140 drills with video demonstrations and step- by-step instructions.
** 16 fully structured basketball workouts.
** Revolutionary Shot Tracker system that allows you to record and track your progress for each skill.
** Flexibility to tailor workouts to specific needs, goals and skill levels of all players.
OneBasketball seeks to promote basketball player development for all ages and skill levels by integrating a comprehensive program with 21st century mobile technology to provide personalized, user-friendly basketball training aids for every individual player.
