Elston Alexis is named CUNYAC/Con Edison Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at the Wesleyan Invitational 2 (Jan. 14) at Middletown, CT. The junior from Brooklyn got two first place finishes over the weekend in the shot put and weight throw. Alexis garnered his first place in the Shot Put with 43’8” 13.31m and with 35’ 1.25” 10.70m got the first the first place win. The Cougars continue their season January 21 at the Wesleyan Invitational 3 in Middletown, CT once again.
CUNYAC/US Army Men’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

The Beavers’ Albert Huggins earns his first CUNYAC Rookie of the Week honor following his performance in the Yale University Invitational this past weekend (Jan. 14). Albert finished 16th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.33, equaling his time for the last two weeks. The Brooklyn native also made the finals in the triple jump competition and finished in eight place. He also placed 21st in the long jump and was a member of the 4x400m relay team. CCNY returns to action January 22 at the Greater Boston Track Invitational.
