CUNYAC/US Army Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Jasmen Flagg earns the top women’s athlete award following her impressive performance at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational (Jan. 22). Flagg recorded a CTC qualifying time of 1:01.58 in her top place finish in the 400 meter dash also ranking her number one in CUNYAC. She was the winner of the 200 meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 26.37. The sophomore was a finalist in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.24, her season best also placing her second in the conference. She was also a member of the 4x200m relay.
CUNYAC/US Army Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

Freshman/Queens, NY/Christ the King
Freshman Makita Ellis is named this week’s CUNYAC/US Army Women’s Indoor Track and Field Rookie after setting a new school freshman record at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational (Jan. 22). In the Weight Throw event, Ellis finished ninth with a 9.44 meter mark setting a new Beavers’ freshman record and placing her third in the CUNY Athletic Conference. Ellis and the rest of the CCNY women’s indoor track and field squad are set to continue their season on January 28 at the Bison Open and Multi Invitational.
