Lehman's Gordon Earns Second Player of the Week Award
Dolphins' Fabozzi Tabbed as Rookie for Third Time

CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Jalessa Gordon earns her second CUNYAC/Con Edison weekly honor after averaging 19.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per game and shooting 53.3% from the field this week. In the non-conference win against New Jersey City University the senior registered her first double-double performance of the week with 15 points (6-for-12 FG) and 12 rebounds. Gordon followed that performance netting 25 points in the 61-43 win over CCNY shooting 12-for-15 on the field with 10 rebounds, and a pair of assists and steals. In Lehman’s lone loss in the week against conference rival Baruch, the Queens native scored 13 points shooting 5-for-17 on the field and pulling down another 10 rebounds. In the 69-61 win over Hunter, Gordon registered her week high of 19 rebounds, shooting 9-for-16 on the field with 24 points.

CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

NIKKI FABOZZI, Staten Island

Guard/5-foot-10/Freshman/Staten Island, NY/Susan Wagner

For the third time this season Nikki Fabozzi is named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Rookie of the week. The freshman guard scored 19 points in the loss against St. Joseph’s Brooklyn putting on a 7-for-24 shooting display from the floor. From the three point line Fabozzi went 3-for-12 and was 2-for-2 on the free throw line. On the defensive end the Staten Island native swiped five steals and had four assists and four boards.
