CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Sheridan Taylor has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the weeks of 12/17 – 1/6 after recording two double-doubles and leading Baruch to three wins. The sophomore averaged 12.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.3 blocks and one steal. In the forward’s best effort of the season, Taylor shot 8-14 from the floor, netted 16 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in a 52-41 victory over Wisconsin-Platteville.
 
CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

Forward/Freshman/Elmont, NY/Elmont Memorial
Bria Fisher has been named the CUNYAC/Con Edison Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the weeks of 12/17 – 1/6. The forward averaged 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.7 steals in three games. In the freshman’s first game of the New Year, the Elmont native posted her third double-double of the season by pouring in a career-high 17 points on 7-13 shooting with 10 rebounds. This is the third time Fisher has won this award during the 2012-2013 season.
