CSI's DiFede and Bearcats' Lizardi and Cali Earn Weekly Honors

CUNYAC/MCU Baseball Player of the Week
Will DiFede, Staten Island
Outfield/Sophomore/Staten Island, NY/Tottenville
Will DiFede has been named the CUNYAC/MCU Baseball Player of the Week for the week of 3/18 – 3/24. The outfielder collected six hits in eleven at-bats and recorded five RBI’s, four runs scored, one triple and three stolen bases. The sophomore hit safely in all three games and had a .545 batting average for the week. In a game against Lehman, the Staten Island native went 4-for-5 with three RBI’s, one run scored and one stolen base. DiFede is currently batting .395 and is tied for the team lead in stolen bases with six. 
 
CUNYAC/MCU Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Andrew Lizardi, Baruch
Pitcher/Junior/Pleasantville, NY/Pleasantville
Andrew Lizardi has been named the CUNYAC/MCO Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of 3/18 – 3/24. The junior logged 7.0 innings and struck out six batters without surrendering a single walk in a complete game victory over John Jay. The Pleasantville native allowed eight hits and one run for the Bearcats. Lizardi had a 1.29 ERA for the week. Baruch had an overall record of 4-0 including going 2-0 in the conference.
 
CUNYAC/MCU Baseball Rookie of the Week
Joseph Cali, Baruch
Pitcher/Freshman/Brooklyn, NY/James Madison
Joseph Cali has been named the CUNYAC/MCO Baseball Rookie of the Week for the week of 3/18 – 3/24. The Brooklyn native pitched nine innings, allowed nine hits, one run, one walk and struck out five in a complete game 2-1 victory against St. Joseph’s. The freshman had an ERA of 1.00. Baruch is now undefeated in the conference.
