Victor Tlepshev has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of 9/23-9/29. Over two games this week, the former CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year scored four goals as the Bearcats went 2-0 in CUNYAC play. During a 3-1 victory over the CSI Dolphins, the Israeli native scored two goals including the game-winner. He followed up that performance against another strong CUNYAC team in Brooklyn. Versus the Bulldogs, he scored two goals including the game-winner with just a few minutes left in regulation to give Baruch a 4-3 victory.

Kenny Benitez has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week of 9/23-9/29. In three games this week, the rookie notched one goal that complemented two assists. The Brooklyn native began the week with one goal and an assist during a 4-0 victory over Berkeley. He followed that up with an assist during a 4-1 win over CUNYAC opponent Hunter.

Vitecha Kochaon has been named the CUNYAC/Applebee's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of 9/23-9/29. Over two games this week, the California native recorded 15 saves and a shutout as the Bloodhounds went 2-0 in conference play. During a close 1-0 victory over CCNY, he notched 3 saves and the shutout. Versus York, the junior made 12 saves as John Jay went on to win 3-2.

Baruch played two games with week all of them coming against conference opponents. Victor Telpshev stood out in both victories, scoring game winning goals to help the Bearcat's take the top spot in the conference standings. Kevin Romero was another notable player for Baruch in both games. Kevin scored big goals in both games to help the Bearcat's to two very important victories. The Bearcats will continue their CUNYAC schedule on Wednesday, October 2 with a 6:30 pm road contest against York College. Kick off at Aviator Field in Brooklyn is scheduled for 6:30 pm.

The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team posted a 2-1 record this past week, with wins against Berkeley (NY) and Hunter, while suffering a tough 4-3 loss against defending CUNYAC champion Baruch. The Bulldogs offense exploded for 11 goals on the week, led by senior Dmitry Prokofyev's six goals.

CCNY went 1-1 this past week, falling short against John Jay, 1-0, before winning a back-and-forth battle at Lehman, 3-2.

John Jay went 2-1 for the week including two conference wins over CCNY and York. Pablo Rojas finished with 2 goals, Besian Shala had two goals and William Oritz had the game-winning goal in 2nd OT against York. The Bloodhounds have two conference games this week against CSI and Lehman.

Sports Information
Lehman had a tough 0-2 week, with a pair of conference losses to York and CCNY. Ronniel Mendez tallied once in each game, and now has eight goals on the season, in ten games played. He is Lehman's top scorer.
Lehman is in the midst of a four-match homestand, with three home games this week, on Monday (St. Joseph's of Brooklyn), Wednesday (Brooklyn), and Saturday (John Jay).

MEC Men's Soccer finished the week 1-1. They defeated the St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears 2-1 on Monday Sept. 23. This was their 3rd straight win against the Bears. On Saturday Sept. 28, 2013, the CSI Dolphins defeated the Cougars 8-0

CSI broke their season-long seven game skid this week with an 8-0 win over MEC. It was only the second multi-goal game by the Dolphins this season. This week they have another three games against NYU-Poly, John Jay, and Hunter.
