McKenzie Davidson, Baruch
Outside Hitter-Right Side/Sophomore/Rancho Santa Margarita, CA/Trabuco Hills
McKenzie Davidson has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 9/23-9/29. In five games this week, the California native knocked down 69 kills while hitting .301 and recording 45 digs. She began the week hitting .391 with 12 kills as the Bearcats won 3-0 over conference opponent CCNY. In a 3-1 win over Ramapo, the sophomore scored 17 kills to complement 14 digs. Versus Richard Stockton, the outside hitter racked up 12 kills and 22 digs. Concluding her week against Skidmore, the standout recorded 19 kills and 15 digs for her second double-double of the wek.
CUNYAC/Pepsi Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Kristine Ciurcina, Hunter
Setter/Freshman/Staten Island, NY/Susan E. Wagner
Kristine Ciurcina has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 9/23-9/29. The honor marks her third consecutive and fourth overall Rookie of the Week award this season. Over the course of four games this week, the rookie standout recorded 72 assists to complement 17 digs. Beginning the week in a 3-1 win over Mount Saint Mary, the Staten Island native floated 18 assists with six digs. During a 3-0 sweep over conference opponent John Jay, she racked up another 16 assists. In a 3-1 victory over Ramapo, she continued sucess with 22 assists and seven digs.

Baruch

Baruch played five matches during the busy week. They started their stretch of five games with a three-set victory over CCNY. McKenzie Davidson starred again in the conference victory with 12 kills hitting .391, while Michelle Stommes had 11 kills to help Bearcats defeat the Beavers of CCNY. On Friday, Baruch hosted five teams from various conferences and regions in Baruch Invitational Tournament. Baruch went 2-2 during the tournament, they defeated Ramapo and Skidmore in two exciting contests. Rebecca Peralta was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts throughout the weekend.

The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team went up against some tough competition this past week, highlighted by participating in the Stevens Invitational, where the Bulldogs squared off against NYU, Susquehanna, Farmingdale and host Stevens. Crystal Wu pace the offense with 51 assists on the week, while classmate Julia Bogdan had 21 kills. Lisenia Rodriguez chipped in with 45 digs. BC will have another strong test this coming weekend, as the Bulldogs will take part in the Kean Invitational (Oct 4th & 5th).

Although they went 1-4 for the week, the Beavers were able to test themselves against some of the best programs of the region at the Stevens Ducks Invitational.
Lehman

Lehman ran its win streak to nine straight before having it snapped last week. Lehman is also 4-0 in CUNYAC play, the best start in several years. As a team, Lehman is ranked second in Division III in service aces per set. Junior Cari English leads Lehman, and has the seventh highest aces per set average in the nation, with 0.92. She also has a hitting percentage of 0.357, which is ranked 40th in the country. Her classmate, Jessica Gonzalez is ranked 15th in Division III with 0.85 aces per set.

MEC Women's Volleyball went 0-3 this week. On Thursday Sept. 26, 2013, the Cougars fell to the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels 3-0. Then on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013, the Cougars traveled to King's College PA for a multi match. The Cougars fell to the St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn 3-0 and the Monarchs of King's College (PA) 3-0.

CSI had a rough week going 0-4 and their losing skid is now at 5 games. CSI has a light week this week. They play on Tuesday against William Paterson before returning home for a date with Culinary Arts on Saturday.
York

The Cardinals had a busy week, playing two matches during the week before playing four over the weekend at the SUNYIT tournament. OVerall, the Cardinals went 1-5 with a win at Maritime on Thursday.
York will have a light week coming up, with just one match. The Cardinals will visit Purchase on September 30.
