CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Stayce Kay Muirhead, York
Middle Hitter/Senior/St. Catherine, Jamaica/ Erasmus Hall
Stayce Kay Muirhead has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 10/20- 10/26. The senior recorded 28 skills on 59 attempts this past week. Muirhead registered nine kills on 19 attack attempts on the 21st of October in a win against the College of Old Westbury. Against CSI on the 23rd on her senior night, Muirhead finished off with a career high of 19 kills in a five set loss.
CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Libero of the Week
Amy Sung, Baurch
Libero/Junior/ Flushing, NY/ Cardozzo
Amy Sung has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Libero of the Week for the week of 10/20-10/26 Sung noticed 12 digs in a three set sweep over CCNY. She tallied 14 digs versus NYU and picked up 13 digs versus Richard Stockton. For the week, Amy Sung totaled 39 digs in three matches played.
CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Julia Connolly, Hunter
Outside Hitter/Freshman/Deer Park, NY/Deer Park High School
Julia Connolly has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 10/20- 10/26. This is the 8th time the freshman outside hitter has won this award. Julia Connolly continued her strong play as the Hawks went 3-0, she totaled 35 kills and four block assists while hitting .312%. Against Medgar Evers she totaled 12 skills while hitting .800%.

Staten Island Dolphins (8-11 Overall, 3-4 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-1 Overall, 1-0 CUNYAC)
CSI went 1-1 this week, winning their Match vs. York in 5 games. They face Hunter College on Tuesday to conclude their CUNYAC slate and then play in the NJCU Tournament this weekend where they will play four non-conference matches in two days.
CCNY Beavers (9-20 Overall, 4-4 CUNYAC)
Last Week (0-1 Overall, 0-1 CUNYAC)
CCNY finished their CUNYAC regular season schedule with a loss at Baruch on Thursday.
Baruch Bearcats (11-15 Overall, 6-1 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-2 Overall, 1-0 CUNYAC)
Baruch played three matches this week going 1-2 during that stretch. Earlier in the week they defeated rival CCNY in a three-set sweep to bring their overall conference record to 6-1. The women's volleyball team will return to action on Tuesday, October 28, with a 6:00 pm CUNYAC contest at Brooklyn College.
York Cardinals (5-22 Overall, 1-6 CUNYAC)

The Cardinals went 1-1 this past week. On the 21st, York notched a 3-0 win against the College of Old Westbury, but lost 3-2 against CSI on the 23rd. York College will be wrapping up their season this coming Tuesday, the 21st of October, facing off against John Jay College.
Brooklyn Bulldogs (10-19 Overall, 4-3 CUNYAC)

The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team was victorious in their lone game of the week, a 3-1 win over Bard College. The Bulldogs will conclude conference play this week with a match against Baruch (10/28), before taking on Maritime and King's College (PA) in a tri-match to end the regular season on Nov 1st. BC will then turn its attention to postseason play, as the Bulldogs will start the CUNYAC Championships with the quarterfinals round on Nov 4th.
Lehman Lightning (11-11 Overall, 5-2 CUNYAC)

Lehman won its sole match last week, a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind win over St. Joseph's of Brooklyn. After dropping the first two sets, Lehman rallied to win three straight and claim the win.
Playing a pivotal role in Lehman's rally was Cari English, who produced a team-high 20 kills, and recorded 10 digs. Julia Mercado slammed home 13 kills, with 14 digs, and added three service aces.
This week, Lehman hosts Medgar Evers on Wednesday night, as the Lightning celebrate Senior Day. On Saturday, Lehman heads to Western Connecticut State to face the hosts and Plymouth (N.H.) State in a tri-match.
Medgar Evers Cougars (3-23 Overall, 0-7 CUNYAC)

The Women's Volleyball team had an 0-2 week. On Monday Oct. 20, the Cougars fell to Farmingdale State 3-0 (8-25, 13-25, 15-25), then on Thursday Oct. 23 dropped a conference match against Hunter College 3-0 (5-25, 11-25, 3-25)
John Jay Bloodhounds (8-11 Overall, 2-5 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-0 Overall, 0-0 CUNYAC)
The Bloodhounds defeated the College of Saint Elizabeth, 3-1, in their lone match of the week.
Hunter Hawks (18-13 Overall, 7-0 CUNYAC)
Last Week (3-0 Overall, 1-0 CUNYAC)
The Hawks had a great week going 3-0, inching closer to the regular season CUNYAC title. The Hawks swept Medgar Evers and College of Mt. St. Vincent, while defeating Misercordia 3-1. This week the Hawks look to secure the #1 seed in the upcoming tournament when they take on CSI on Tuesday evening.
