Baruch’s Jack McKee has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 3/10 to 3/16. This marks his fifth consecutive weekly award. The senior hitter notched his 1000th career kill versus Springfield. He averaged 3.29 kills and 3.93 points per set for the week. The Bay Shore native notched 16 kills and 11 digs in a five-set win over Ramapo. In a win over #7 Nazareth, the West Islip graduate recorded a week high 17 kills and a total of three blocks. He picked up 15 kills and 5 digs in a sweep over Thiel.

Steven Tarquinio, Hunter
Middle Blocker/Freshman/Nesconset, New York/Smithtown East
Hunter’s Steven Tarquinio has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 3/10 to 3/16. The freshman Hawk recorded a combined 15 kills on the week in victories over John Jay and Medgar Evers . This week, Tarquinio played 6 sets, averaging 2.5 kills per set, 0.67 digs per set and 0.67 blocks per set.

Baruch played six total matches during a busy week. Jack McKee had the special highlight of the week recording his 1,000th career kill in the first set versus #2 Springfield. He led the Bearcats with 11 kills on that night. Later in the week Baruch defeated #7 Nazareth in exciting four-set win. Baruch finished the week with three-set sweep over Thiel. The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday, March 18, with a 7:00 pm CUNYAC contest at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York.

The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team posted a 2-1 record this past week, coming up on the short end of a thrilling five-set loss against CUNYAC rival York College, while defeating borough foe St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) and Bard College. The Bulldogs will have a pair of conference matches this week against John Jay College and nationally ranked Baruch College.

The Hunter Hawks men's volleyball team improved to 7-1 in CUNAYC play with two wins over John Jay and Medgar Evers. The Hawks didn't drop a set for the 2nd week in a row and are now riding a 5 match winning streak. This week the Hawks will take on CCNY and Lehman, both games will be played at the Hunter Sportsplex.

Lehman is now 3-6 in the CUNYAC, and in sixth place, only two games out of fourth. Jaleel Lino continues to hit the ball well, as he leads the conference in kills, with 3.96 per set.
York

This week was a tough week for York College, losing four of their five games. They started off the week with a thrilling 3-2 (17-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-13) victory over Brooklyn College.
However they would go on to drop their next four, starting with #5 MIT, L 0-3 (25-0, 25-22, 25-11), Johnson & Wales University, L 1-3 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22), Wentworth Institute of Technology, L-0-3 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) and finally Vassar College, L-1-3 (26-24, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20). York College junior Edner Geffrard was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
York will look to turn things around this week, when they face off against five opponents, starting with Lehman College on Tuesday, at 7 p.m.
