CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Sydney Parks, Baruch
Middle Blocker/Senior/Boonsboro, MD/Boonsboro
Sydney Parks has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 9/28-10/4. For the week, Parks averaged 2.53 kills per set, which helped contribute to the Bearcats' success. To begin the week at the Kean Invitational, the middle blocker had 7 kills and 2 digs against Olivet College. Later that day, Parks added 10 kills and three blocks to her season total versus Frostburg. The following day, the senior had a career high 15 kills and added 2 blocks in a matchup with Kean and 6 kills and 2 digs against Trine University. Parks was named to the Kean Invitational All-Tournament team after an impressive tournament performance.
CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Miranda Hogan, Hunter
Setter/Freshman/Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore
Miranda Hogan has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 9/28-10/4. This marks Hogan’s fifth straight Rookie of the Week honor to start the year. She continued her success with a week in which she dished out 124 assists in four matches at an average of 31 per match. The freshman also contributed tremendously on defense with 32 digs for the week at an average of 2.29 per game. At the start of the week, Hogan had her best performance so far for the season in a close contest against Mt. Saint Vincent where she had 45 assists and 8 digs. Her impressive played continued throughout the week after having 28 assists in a matchup with Ramapo and then 19 against SUNY Cortland. The freshman ended her week with 32 assists in a CUNYAC win over Brooklyn.
CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Libero of the Week
Amy Sung, Baruch
Libero/Senior/Flushing, NY/Cardozo
Amy Sung has been named the CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Volleyball Libero of the Week for the week of 9/28-10/4. Sung has earned this honor three times thus far this season. In Baruch’s first two games of the week, Sung had 39 digs against Frostburg and 16 against Olivet at the Kean Invitational. The following day, the Bearcats captured a victory against a tough opponent in Kean, where the senior libero had 32 digs. Sung averaged an outstanding 6.40 digs per set for the week.

City was swept 3-0 by Merchant Marine Academy during the week. Then the team traveled to New Jersey City for the NJCU Tri-match. They swept Purchase College before falling 3-0 to host NJCU. The Beavers will host the CCNY Tri-match against William Paterson and King's College (PA) Saturday, October 10.

The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team had a thrilling five-set victory over Centenary to start the week last Monday. The Bulldogs beat the Cyclones, 20-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-11, 15-2, behind a career-high 19 kills from Christolia Butler.
