Will Fonseca has been named the CUNYAC/US Army ROTC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of 2/2/15 - 2/8/15. This marks his fifth career weekly honor. The junior helped his team to a 2-0 week after two monster games of averaging 33 points and 18.5 rebounds. The Brooklyn native started his week scoring a career high 39 points and adding 15 rebounds against CCNY. The forward ended his week on a 27 points, 7 rebounds win versus York.

Chimaechi Ekekeugbor has been named the CUNYAC/US Army ROTC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week of 2/2/15 - 2/8/15. This marks his eighth career weekly honor. The freshman scored a career-high 19 points and also had eight rebounds in a win over John Jay. The forward then ended his week with a 17-point game in a win versus Lehman and averaged 13.3 points per game for the week.

CCNY went 0-2 this past week with losses at Staten Island and St. Joseph's Brooklyn.

Lehman Lighting (14-8 Overall, 9-4 CUNYAC)

Lehman is coming off a 72-70 loss to Baruch, on Friday evening. The Lightning are battling for home-court advantage in the CUNYAC Quarterfinals. They are currently in fourth place in the latest CUNYAC standings. Lehman will host Hunter College on Tuesday, at 5:00 p.m.

John Jay Bloodhounds (4-19 Overall, 3-11 CUNYAC)
Last Week (0-2 Overall, 0-2 CUNYAC)

The Bloodhounds went 0-2 for the week. John Jay fell to Baruch College, 77-65, and Medgar Evers College, 65-62.

Baruch Bearcats (16-5 Overall, 12-1 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-1 Overall, 2-1 CUNYAC)

Baruch shot 62 percent in the first half to pull away for a 77-65 road win against John Jay College. They edged Lehman College, 72-70, in an exciting 11th Annual Battle of Lexington contest. Baruch suffered their first conference loss of the season on Sunday afternoon against York College. The Bearcats will continue their schedule on Tuesday, February 10, with a 7:00 pm CUNYAC contest at The City College of New York.

Staten Island Dolphins (16-6 Overall, 10-3 CUNYAC)

CSI continued its impressive run, now having won 9 of their last 10. This week, they have road contests against both Medgar Evers College on Tuesday and Baruch College on Friday.

York Cardinals (13-9 Overall, 8-5 CUNYAC)
Last Week (2-1 Overall, 2-1 CUNYAC)

The York Cardinals (13-9, 8-5) went 2-1 last week in CUNYAC play, which included wins against first-place Baruch and second-place Brooklyn College. The Cardinals gave Baruch its first lost all season in CUNYAC play. York has been hot as of late; in the five game stretch they have won 4 of the last 5 games in the CUNYAC. Currently the Cardinals are one back of fou3rth-place and two back of Brooklyn for third-place. The York Cardinals resume play on the road against John Jay, Feb. 10 and Lehman College, Feb. 1

Medgar Evers Cougars (3-19 Overall, 2-11 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-1 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)

The Men's Basketball team went 1-1 this week. On Tuesday, February. 3, the Cougars fell to the Hawks 75-61. On Friday, February. 6, the Cougars earned their 2nd conference victory, with a 65-62 win over John Jay College.

Brooklyn Bulldogs (18-5 Overall, 10-4 CUNYAC)

The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball team went 1-1 this past week to improve to 10-4 in the CUNYAC and remain in the hunt for home court advantage during the quarterfinals round of the conference championships. The Bulldogs have one game this week, as BC will welcome borough rival Medgar Evers to the West Quad Center on Feb. 13th.
