Chris Kaimis has been named the CUNYAC/Shleppers Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of 2/2/15 - 2/8/15. The senior tallied 2.64 kills and 1.27 digs per game for the week with a .463 hitting percentage. The middle blocker notched 18 kills on 34 attempts with no hitting errors in a five-set victory over Ramapo.

CUNYAC/Shleppers Men's Volleyball Libero of the Week
Jose Bautista, Lehman
Libero/Freshman/Bronx, NY/ H.S of World Cultures

Jose Bautista has been named the CUNYAC/Shleppers Men's Volleyball Libero of the Week for the week of 2/2/15 - 2/8/15. The Bronx native had a good week on defense for Lehman in two matches. The freshman had 10 digs against York and had 14 digs against Brooklyn College.

CUNYAC/Shleppers Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Anson Webb, York
Outside/Middle Hitter/Freshman/Berbice, Guyana/August Martin

Anson Webb has been named the CUNYAC/Shleppers Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week of 2/2/15 - 2/8/15. The freshman had a season-high with 10 kills against St. Joseph. The outside/middle hitter also had another game with 9 kills, hit .500 and 10 blocks, he then added another solid game with eight kills and .385 percentage against Medgar.

Lehman Lighting (2-2 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)
Last Week (2-1 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)

Lehman went 2-1 this week, including a 1-1 record in CUNYAC play, with both of those matches being played at John Jay. Lehman fell to York in a hard-fought five set thriller, but bounced back to sweep Brooklyn. The Lightning will hit the road to battle Purchase College, on Tuesday. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Hunter Hawks (5-5 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)
Last Week (2-1 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)

The Hawks went 2-1 last week, with both victories coming in CUNYAC play. Early in the week the Hawks took on #11 NYU and lost but they responded by sweeping John Jay and Medgar Evers at a CUNYAC multi-match. This week the Hawks will take on CCNY on Wednesday at 6pm and then participate in a tri-match at Springfield College on Saturday.

John Jay Bloodhounds (1-1 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)

The Bloodhounds opened the season over the weekend and went 1-1. John Jay fell to Hunter College, 3-0, and followed that up with a 3-0 win over the Beavers of CCNY.

CCNY went 0-3 for the week, including five set heart-breakers to Purchase College and the College of Staten Island.

Staten Island Dolphins (1-4 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)
Last Week (1-2 Overall, 1-1 CUNYAC)

CSI went 1-2 last week, scoring their first win in program history over CCNY at John Jay College on Saturday in a five-set marathon. The win vindicated a loss to CCNY back on Jan. 25. This week CSI faces St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Monday and Lehman College on the road on Wednesday.

Baruch Bearcats (4-1 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)
Last Week (3-0 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)

The No. 10-ranked men's volleyball team fended off a comeback by Ramapo College to record a five set victory in a non-conference match. They won their two matches on Saturday at the first CUNYAC Multi-Match of the season hosted by John Jay College. The men's volleyball team will return to action later this week with their first two home events of the season in the ARC Arena. They play York College on Wednesday and No. 6 ranked Kean University on Thursday. Each match will begin at 7:30 pm

Medgar Evers Cougars (0-5 Overall, 0-2 CUNYAC)
Last Week (0-3 Overall, 0-2 CUNYAC)

The Men's Volleyball team went 0-3 this week. On Wednesday, February. 4, the Cougars fell to Yeshiva 3-0. On Saturday, February. 6, the Cougars dropped a pair of conference matches vs. Hunter (3-0), and York (3-0).

York Cardinals (3-7 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)
Last Week (3-1 Overall, 2-0 CUNYAC)

After getting off to a rocky start to the season, the York men's volleyball team rebounded last week, going 3-1--including two victories against CUNYAC opponents. Randy Adams, Edner Geffrard and Anson Webb played big roles in the victories. This week, York visits Baruch College in a rematch of the last two CUNYAC Championship matches on Wednesday.
