Other Indoor Track Championship Releases - 4YR Men - 4YR Women
The 2015 CUNYAC/Army ROTC Outdoor Track and Field Championships took place on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island. Queensborough ran uncontested on the women’s side, and Kingsborough’s men scored 196 points to defeat Queensborough, who scored 144 points.
The women on the whole ran well with much effort,” said Queensborough coach Chris Omeltchenko. “The field events were a big support. Kingsborough was strong.”

Keziann Jones of Kingsborough had an impressive start in the first event of the day. She threw for a distance of 11.08 meters in the women’s shotput, which led all community colleges and placed her second overall. In Jones’ next event, she had the longest distance out of everyone in the field, both two-year and four-year, with a 41.74 meter throw. In her final event of the day, Jones placed second overall and first among junior college throwers in the discus event, throwing for a distance of 32.44 meters.
Joseph Bacchus threw for a distance of 45.98 meters, topping all junior and senior college participants by over three meters.
Amunike Prince of Kingsborough had a 33.15 meter toss in the discus throw to finish third out of all who took part in the event.
Julyana Agustin of Queensborough ran the 10,000m race in 48:52.94, which was good for second place overall in the five-runner field.
In the men’s 5k, Jacinto Martinez of Kingsborough placed third overall with a time of 17:31.48.
The men’s 4x100m foursome of Bedan Dakin, Brandon Gooden, Khalil Gravesande & Jelani Washington from Queensborough narrowly missed the overall fastesttime, placing second behind CCNY with a time of 43.02.
Queensborough’s 4x400m team consisting of Dakin, Gravesande, Jason Jean-Gilles and Shemar Jonas placed second overall with a time of 3:27.94.
In the men’s 110m hurdles, Kingsborough’s Amunike Prince finished third overall with a time of 16.09 seconds. On the women’s side, Kingsborough’s Myrlanda Ducson placed second overall in the finals with a time of 16.41.
A trio of men’s 400M Dash runners led the overall field as Kingsborough’s Kwesie Applewhite (49.46) and Queensborough’s Jason Jean-Gilles (49.87) and Khalil Gravesande (49.80) finished first, second, and third, respectively. On the women’s side, Tatyana Mills of Kingsborough placed third overall with a time of 1:00.74.
Edina Music of Queensborough was victorious on the women’s side in the 1500m run, finishing above all participants with a time of 5:04.61. Richard Brienza of Queensborough placed third overall in the 1500M run with a time of 4:22.26.
