Daniela won all three of her events against CUNYAC opposition, this time against Brooklyn and Lehman.

CUNYAC/Pepsi Women’s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week
Sera Knobler, Hunter
Freshman/New York, NY/Manhattan Science

Sera Knobler helped her team to a 2-1 record over the last week. She set two personal bests; 33.39 in the 50y backstroke and 1:09.53 in the 100y IM, and earned five first place individual finishes. Additionally, she was on two relays that finished first and one relay that claimed runner up honors.

CSI only dove on Thursday and Nora swept both boards. For the season she is 6th with 135 points scored and her 9 1st place finishes are tied for second on the team.

The Bloodhounds went 1-1 for the week and 1-0 in the conference. John Jay defeated York College, 116-45, but then fell to St. Joseph's College Long Island, 109-64.

Lehman returned to action this past week after taking a four week break for the holidays. The Lightning dropped meets at Baruch and home against William Paterson. Lehman will host York on Tuesday before traveling to John Jay on Friday.

 

CSI Dolphins (4-5 Overall, 3-2 CUNYAC)

CSI split their two contests last week. This week their lone meet is against Adelphi University on the road on Thursday.

Hunter Hawks (9-2 Overall, 5-0 CUNYAC)

The Hawks posted a 2-1 record this past week. They defeated St. Joseph's - LI at home by a score of 52-39 and then sunk Western Connecticut State convincingly, 129-82. However, in their final home meet of the year, they fell to the United States Merchant Marine Academy by a score of 58-37. Freshman standout, Sera Knobler, was named Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com this past Tuesday. The Hawks finish off the regular season with a CUNYAC matchup at York on January 23 at 6pm before competing in the CUNYAC Championships.

The Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving dropped a conference and non-conference meet for the week. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs fell to Baruch 125-72 at home and on Saturday, dropped a non-conference meet at Bard, 161-93. Brooklyn will host their final home meet of the season on Thursday, 1/19, against non-conference Purchase for Senior Night. The Bulldogs will then close out the regular season at Lehman in conference action on January 25.
